ASTANA. February 12. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ The rate of the tenge will be strengthened as soon as the prices for energy resources are stabilized. Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has made it public at the enlarged session of the Bureau of the Political Council of «Nur Otan» People’s Democratic Party, Kazinform reports. "As soon as the prices for energy and ore-mining products are reflated, the rate of the tenge will be strengthened", the President said. As reported earlier, the Head of the State considers devaluation of the tenge as painful but necessary anti-crisis measure. N. Nazarbayev reminded that in 2001-2002 the exchange rate was KZT 150 per dollar.
