Kazakh Prime Minister holds session on development of oil-and-gas sector
ASTANA. February 187. KAZINFORM Today Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has held a session on the issues of the oil sector development in the Ukimet Uiy, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Head of the Government.
Heads of state bodies, «Samruk Kazyna» National Welfare Fund and a range of national companies took part in the session.
Directions of the Complex Development Plan of domestic oil refinery plants for 2009-2015, developed in accordance with the Kazakh President's commission within the framework of realization of the country’s oil-refining sector development program were discussed at the session.
It was noted that the development of the oil refinery plants is one of the most important constituents for ensuring energy security of the country, in particular, total satisfaction of the domestic demands for basic oil products, complex development of oil-refining sector.
The Plan supposes reconstruction of capacities, construction of new production complexes and development of transport infrastructure of all three Kazakh oil refineries.
Issues of development of gas sector, in particular, realization on the territory of Kazakhstan large investment projects in the filed of gas production, processing and transportation were discussed as well.
