Kazakh-Byelorussian economic cooperation discussed in Minsk
MINSK. March 18. KAZINFORM Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus Anatoly Smirnov had a meeting with Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Industry and Commerce Vassiliy Romanov and discussed the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation and increasing the trade turnover, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of Belarusian Embassy.
The Kazakh Ambassador stated that the level of trade turnovr between Kazakhstan and Belarus which amounts to USD 537 mln did not comply with potential of both countries. One of the foremost objectives of the Embassy is to revive the regional cooperation. In this regard the Kazakh Ambassador dwelled upon the results of the visit of Belarusian First Vice Premier V.Semashko to Kazakhstan in March, 2009. It was agreed that Karaganda region delegation and Samruk-Kazyna representatives will visit on Belarus in March, 2009.
Anatoly Smirnov noted that the Chambers of Industry and Commerce of both countries should play the major role in activation of trade and economic cooperation and increase of goods turnover between the two countries. In this regard the Kazakh Ambassador underlined the importance to hold joint sessions of the Chambers.
The sides noted the necessity to activate interaction between the Chambers and enter into a partnership agreement.
Vassiliy Romanov informed that the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of Byelorussia planed to hold a business forum this year in Almaty with participation of both countries's businessmen. The forum is supposed to help find new forms of cooperation between Kazakhstan and Belarus.
More than 300, 000 tons of Kazakhstan’s crude pumped via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan
BAKU. March 18. KAZINFORM. /Arnur Mukhametkarim/ 301.3 thousand tons of Kazakhstan’s crude has been pumped via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export pipeline since the beginning of 2009; Kazinform refers to the Azerbaijan State Statistics Committee.
In whole 686.4 thousand tons of crude hydrocarbons produced in Kazakhstan have been transported via the pipeline since October 2008.
Kazakhstan’s oil is pumped via BTC as per the agreement on the main principles of implementation of the Trans-Caspian project signed between KazMunaiGaz National Company and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan.
