First Vice PM proposes to create pharmaceutical cluster in S Kazakhstan
SHYMKENT. March 19. KAZINFORM /Tatyana Pylayeva/ First Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Umirzak Shukeyev proposes to establish a pharmaceutical cluster in South Kazakhstan oblast.
“The South Kazakhstan can specialize in this field. To my mind, it’s a quite perspective direction”, U. Shukeyev said yesterday at a meeting with the region’s authorities in Khimfarm JSC. As Chairman of the Pharmaceutical Control Committee Syzdyk Baimukhanov informed, the venture works on construction of a unique plant on blood substitutes production.
“We see that Khimfarm JSC develops quite well. In addition, the Head of the State commissioned us to change the South Kazakhstan Academy of Medical Sciences into a Pharmaceutical Institute where future pharmacists will be trained. So, this can become a whole pharmaceutical cluster”, U. Shukeyev said.
At present the plant produces more than 200 items of medicaments.
