Air Astana opens the first Almaty-Baku-Almaty flight
BAKU. March 20. KAZINFORM Starting from March 29 Kazakh airlines Air Astana is launching permanent air communication with Azerbaijan.
Air Astana Manager Adel Dauletbek said Almaty-Baku-Almaty flight passengers will fly by Airbus À320 (16 business class and 132 economy class seats) twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays.
“The necessity of creating this flight appeared long ago since Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations develop in an efficient way and are positive. Air Astana airlines provide Azerbaijani and Kazakh passengers with high service and security level, a possibility to gain scores under Nomad Club Air Astana’s exciting new Frequent Flyer program and convenient connections to international flights from Almaty to Beijing, Delhi, Bishkek and Kazakh cities,” Dauletbek said.
According to Dauletbek, the new flight will strengthen economic co-operation between the two countries.
“At the same time Baku-Almaty direct nonstop flight is expected to give an extra impetus to tourism development between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan,” he added.
Let’s note one-way ticket from Baku, including airport duties, costs AZN 237 (economy class) and from AZN 385 (business class), return-ticket AZN 466 and AZN 749 respectively. Flight time is 3 hours 5 minutes, the Azerbaijan Business Center reports.
