Coordination Committee of Kazakh-US Public-Private Partnership Initiative forms 5 working groups
ASTANA. April 1. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Five working groups have been formed upon the results of the sitting of the coordination committee of the Kazakh-US Public-Private Partnership Initiative. The groups consist of the representatives of the US embassy, American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan, “Atameken” National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan, Kazakhstan Forum of Entrepreneurs and business associations. Vice Prime Minister Yerbol Orynbayev has made it public at a press conference in Astana.
“The first group will work on the issues of economic diversification and development of small and medium businesses, the second – on ensuring transparency and creation of conditions for effective economic activity. The third team is to deal with the issues of scientific-technical cooperation. The issues of regional economic integration will fall within the competence of the fourth group. And the last group will work on combating corruption and bettering investment climate. In the nearest future these groups will start work involving the USAID”, Yerbol Orynbayev said.
According to President of the American Chamber of Commerce Kenneth Mack, the Kazakh-US Public-Private Partnership Initiative will serve as a step toward enhancement of cooperation between the two states.
