PAVLODAR. April 4. KAZINFORM Vice Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov who is paying a working visit to Pavlodar region has held a conference with the heads of ministries, large companies, Majilis deputies and directors of the region’s enterprises on increasing domestic content in purchases of goods and services by the national companies. Increasing the share of domestic products in the purchases of national companies is among priority tasks set by the President in his Message, the Vice PM noted. “We will continue this work in future and the memorandums of cooperation will be under strict control. 500 agreements to the amount of KZT 200 bln have already been concluded”, he said. Pavlodar oblast enterprises concluded agreements with three national companies, Akim of the region Makytzhan Sagintayev informed. Thus, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC will take part in realization of two investment projects – construction of a carriage producing plant in Ekibastuz and a rail rolling mill KSP Steel. The project costs KZT 2 bln. Kazakhtelecom JSC will manufacture the products to the amount of KZT 700 mln for KazEnergoKabel JSC. KazMunaiGaz JSC and Pavlodar oblast enterprises have also concluded agreements worth KZT 3 bln. The conference participants pointed out importance of concluding the long-term agreements, increasing the duties on the domestic goods and introducing amendments to some legislative acts.
