Business community role in anti-crisis actions - Int'l roundtable in Astana
ASTANA. April 7. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ An international roundtable titled “Participation of the Business in Elaboration and Implementation of the Anti-Recessionary Policy” organized by the “Atameken Union” National Economic Chamber is being held in “Rixos” Hotel. Kazakh Vice Prime Minister S.Akhmetov, representatives of business associations, members of the Parliament, managers of the Russian organizations “Business-Solidarity”, “The Post-Crisis World Institute”, representatives of Russian, Kyrgyz and Ukrainian business circles are taking part in the event.
S.Akhmetov noted that the anti-recessionary measures taken by the Kazakh Government included support of entrepreneurship, lending facilities for small and medium businesses from the national budget.
As part of execution of the President’s commissions over USD 1.3 bln will be spent for repairing and modernization of infrastructure.
“To support the national manufacturer we have launched a program on increase of Kazakhstan's content in procurement of goods, works, and services provided by public agencies, and national companies. The volume of this market is estimated at USD 16-18 bln”, S.Akhmetov emphasized.
The Vice Premier stated that it would be useful for the participants to exchange their experience and opinions about participation of the business community in carrying through the anti-crisis efforts.
