Government to track Almaty development - President
ALMATY. April 9. KAZINFORM /Dauren Zhailin/ Today President Nursultan Nazarbayev chaired a sitting on strategic urban development of Almaty city’ Kazinform reports.
The Head of the State heard the reports of Almaty Mayor Akhmetzhan Yessimov and his Deputy Yerbol Shormanov, akim of the Alatau district Bagdat Manzorov and head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Almaty Yerlan Turgumbayev.
President Nazarbayev assured that despite the crisis the construction of important facilities of Almaty must be continued. Almaty is the largest city of Kazakhstan which acquired its modern image during the years of independence, he added.
“The government is budgeting big money into the urban development of Almaty. The entire financial block is based here so that to ensure replenishment of the budget. The government will track the course of the development of the city. The resources we annually allocate for this purpose speak about the results”, N.Nazarbayev said.
