Kazakhstan not asked for external help amid crisis - Nazarbayev

ALMATY. April 10. KAZINFORM /Dauren Zhailin/ Due to the internal reserves of the country we are passing more or less quite period amid the global financial crisis. Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of the country, has made it public at the yesterday’s session in Almaty, Kazinform reports. Kazakhstan has asked neither the IMF nor the WB for aid, the President highlighted. “We have developed our own program of combating the crisis. We also allotted funds for the programs to be realized in post-crisis period. In this connection, we should not slowdown development and worsen the work”, the Head of the State said. “Akim of Almaty Akhmetzhan Yessimov has done huge work on the city development and implementation of innovations. I support this work and I am ready to help in future”, N. Nazarbayev concluded.
