ASTANA. April 10. KAZINFORM /Kurmat Samarkhan/ KZT 218.7 bln were directed to financing development of rural areas last year, including – KZT 106.9 bln from the national budget and KZT 13.1 bln from other sources. Sanat Tungyshbekov, Chairman of the Committee for Rural Areas of the Agriculture Ministry, has made it public today.
According to him, 36% of the 2008 National Budget expenditures was directed to the development of rural education, 18% - to reconstruction of country roads, 17% - to healthcare, 16% – to water supply and 13% – for other aims.
As for the local budget, 30% of its was spent for the development of rural education, 25% - for the reconstruction of country roads, 24% - for other sectors, 13% - for water supply and 8% - for other purposes.
