ASTANA. April 17. KAZINFORM. Kazakh Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning announced main interim results of realization of the Strategic Plan for 2009-2011; the Ministry’s press service informed Kazinform. The Ministry updated the forecast of socio-economic development and the republican budget for 2009-2011. Amendments related to the development of Islamic financing, types of contaminants and some other rectifications were introduced to the Tax Code of Kazakhstan. The Ministry also worked out a draft concept of the new Tax Code which was presented to the Prime Minister on March 30, 2009. Certain work on improving Kazakhstan’s position in the ratungs by the World Bank’s “Doing Business”, Moody’s Investors Service, Standard&Poor’s è Fitch Ratings Ltd and other international rating agencies. The Ministry performs constant monitoring of the economic processes in the country and world, execution of the Joint Action Plan between the Government of Kazakhstan, National Bank and Financial Supervision Agency on stabilization of economy and financial system for 2009-2010. It is also updating the concept of integrated modernization of the public utility sector for 2009-2011.
