XIANYANG. April 17. KAZINFORM /Talgat Baimukhambetov/ While paying an official visit to China President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has held a meeting with Premier of the State Council of China Wen Jiabao today in the province of Hainan. The Head of the Chinese Government is chairing the Boao Forum for Asia which will be opened Saturday. Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed content with the credit of USD 1 bln provided by China to Kazakhstan, which was talked over in October, 2007 during the visit of Wen Jiabao to Kazakhstan. He spoked for continuing financial cooperation between our countries. President Nazarbayev proposed opening a through flight between Hainan and Kazakhstan and speed up the work on the projects of “West Europe – West China” highway, Kazakhstan – China gas pipeline and the second extension of the operating oil pipeline. The Chinese Premier proposed to increase the volumes of commodity circulation and expand cooperation between Kazakhstan and China in the financial, energy and primary sectors of economy and construction of a pipeline of energy resources transportation During the talk both parties stated coincidences in the strategic approaches of Astana and Beijing towards economic, political and social reforms. N.Nazarbayev and W.Jiabao emphasized mutual interest in diversification of the investment cooperation by implementation of projects in engineering, oil refinery, development of transport infrastructure, chemical industry, pharmaceutics and other fields. Kazakhstan President and the Premier of the State Council of China agreed to continue development of diverse strategic cooperation between Astana and Beijing. Upon completion of the talks Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the official reception held on behalf of the Premier of the State Council in honor of the foreign guests arrived in Hainan for participation in the Boao Forum for Asia.
