Kazakh system of labor protection successful: International Labor Organization

ASTANA. April 21. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ “The International Labor Organization (ILO) notes Kazakhstan as an example of a country where the system of labor protection successfully works”, Specialist on the labor protection of the ILO Subregional office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Wiking Husberg has said today at the workshop in the Kazakh Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. “Seminars for different professionals on elaboration of more effective system of labor protection are underway now and will be continued in May. We think Kazakhstan is an example of the country where the improvement of the system of labor protection is being successfully implemented ” W.Husberg said. The workshop is held within the celebration of the 90 anniversary of the ILO. Deputies of the Senate and Majilis (Lower House of the Kazakh Parliament), reps of the Ministries and Departments of the country, directors of the departments on labor protection, reps of the trade unions of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan take part in the workshop. The issues of identifying the most important matters in the field of health and safety at the national level were discussed. Proposals on possible ways to address these challenges were elaborated.
