Russia, Kazakhstan to build power-generating unit of Ekibastuz GRES-2
ASTANA. April 22. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ “The Agreement on construction of the third power-generating unit of the Ekinastuz GRES-2 between Kazakhstan and Russia is on the stage of negotiation”, Executive Secretary of the Kazakh Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Askar Batalov has said today at the session of the board of the Ministry.
According to him, the project feasibility study was worked out. “The construction the unit will be realized with participation of the second shareholder – “JSC “Inter RAO UES” of the Russian Federation”, A.Batalov said.
Financing form is share capital and borrowed funds. The total cost of the project is up to KZT 68.4 bln. The issue of co-financing from the Russian side is being negotiated.
