Kazakhstan economy stabilizes
ASTANA. April 23. KAZINFORM In March 2009 Kazakhstan recorded slowdown in national GDP decline by 0.2%. Besides, the external debt of Kazakhstan's banks has decreased by 10.7% compared to December, 2008 index. Thus the country slowly but rightly comes out of this crisis “pique”.
Another achievement is lowering of the inflation burden. According to the official data of the Kazakhstan Statistics Agency inflation in the country has made 2.0% in the 1st quarter of 2009 against 2.5% in the same period in 2008.
It is evident that the country could achieve such results only due to the “five big activities” plan elaborated and realized by the Government on the President’s commission. This plan provides for stabilization of the financial sector, solution of the problems on the real estate market, support of small and medium businesses, development of agro-industrial complex, realization of innovation, industrial and infrastructure projects.
