British-Kazakh Society marks its 5th anniversary
ASTANA. May 1. KAZINFORM On April 29 London hosted a reception dedicated to the fifth anniversary of the British-Kazakh Society. As is known President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and HRH Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, are the Honorary Patrons of the Organization. The event was attended by representatives of the British Government, members of the Government, diplomatic corps and business-elite, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Kazakh MFA. In his speech Chairman of the British-Kazakh Society Lord Fraser of Carmyllie noted dynamic development of Kazakhstan in political, economic and cultural spheres and pointed out the growing role of the Society in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Great Britain.
Ambassador Kairat Abusseitov highlighted an important role of the British-Kazakh Society in establishing multilateral friendly relations and enlarging trade-economic cooperation.
The Kazakh diplomat drew the participants’ attention to the oncoming chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE and expressed appreciation to the British side for its readiness for active cooperation and assistance in successful fulfillment by Kazakhstan its mission in this authoritative Organization.
