ASTANA-AKORDA. May 5. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Akim of the East Kazakhstan oblast Berdybek Saparbayev today, the Presidential press service informs. B. Saparbayev reported to the President on the results of the region’s socio-economic development over Jan-April 2009, state of material and technical base of social sphere and the course of realization of the “Road Map”. N. Nazarbayev was presented the balance of manufacture and consumption of industrial products within fulfillment of the task on provision of domestic content. B. Saparbayev also proposed to establish a high technologies zone in the region in accordance with Finland’s experience. The President charged the Akim of the oblast to keep preserving the growth rates of the main indices of the region’s socio-economic development and approved realization of the pilot project on establishment of high technologies zone.
