Small and medium business receive KZT 260 bln aid

ASTANA. May 6. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Kazakhstan's government has allocated KZT 260 bln to support small and medium businesses, Vice Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov announced during the web conference at bnews.kz.The Vice PM said that before the devaluation this amount was USD 2 bln. The first tranche under the stabilization program amounted to KZT 48.8 bln, second tranche - KZT 50 bln; about KZT 37 bln were co-financed with the Damu Fund and akimats. KZT 127 bln were allocated as the third tranche . “Given the deficiency of second-tier banks funding, these are big money”, S.Akhmetov said. Now that banks have showed activeness, there is no need to reforward unutilized resources of the third tranche between banks, he added. “The funds will be utilized before June”, S.Akhmetov said.
