ASTANA. May 12. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Construction contracts on “Western Europe – Western China” mega-project are to be signed in October-November this year. Construction work amounting to KZT 31 bln will begin till the end of the year. Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Abelgazy Kussainov has announced at the Government’s session. “The main trade partners of Kazakhstan are interested in the development of the corridor, and at present the Ministry signed memorandums with Russia and China. A memorandum with the EU is under preparation”, the Minister said. Accordign to him, the average annual economic effect from this corridor will form KZT 53 bln. At present the Government attracted borrowings of five international financial institutions - Moscow Bank for Reconstruction and Development (MBRD), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Asian Development Bank (ADB), Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), JIBIC.
