Establishment of trade-logistic center on Kazakh-Kyrgyz border discussed
ZHAMBYL REGION. May 12. KAZINFORM /Galina Skripnik/ Prospects of development of border trade between Kyrgyzstan and Zhambyl region were discussed at the meeting of Chairman of the Committee for regulation of the trading activities of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Trade Aidar Kazybayev and Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade Sanzhar Mukanbetov.
According to Deputy Governor of Zhambyl region Kumar Aksakalov, it is supposed that border markets in Zhambyl region and Korday district of the region will be included in the infrastructure of the international border cooperation centers.
Plots of land of 10 ha from the Kazakh side and 10 ha from the Kyrgyz side were allocated for the construction of markets in 2006. In October, 2008 the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Trade made decision to proceed to establishment of a trade-logistic center on the border with Kyrgyzstan. The issues of financing will be discussed at the Kyrgyz Government and submitted for approval to the Kazakh Government.
Warehouse of temporary storage of goods, packing plants, hotels, veterinary laboratories will be constructed in Zhambyl region and Korday district as well. New jobs will be created.
