India Expo-2009 exhibition opened in Almaty
ALMATY. May 21. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ A unique exposition India Expo-2009 kicked off in Almaty today. The event is organized by the Embassy of India in Kazakhstan and India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).
According to Indian Ambassador Ashok Sajjanhar, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev called on India’s industry for active cooperation and the Indian companies responded to his proposition.
“Kazakhstan possesses rich mineral resources and India has technologies and highly-qualified labor resources. India is ready to cooperate with Kazakhstan not only in natural resources but also in improvement of productions through implementing innovations and personnel training”, the Indian Diplomat said and called the businessmen and industrialists of Kazakhstan to unite enhance contacts with India for successful development of business.
As Deputy Akim of Almaty Serik Seidumanov noted, Kazakh-Indian cooperation had moved to a brand new level to date. “The ties have been strengthened and expanded. This exposition is one more step towards strengthening interaction”, he said.
The event will last till May 23. It covers many spheres – energy, oil and gas, nuclear industry, auto industry, IT technologies, pharmacy, jewelry, agriculture, metallurgic and steel-making products.
