KAZINFORM Today within the official visit of Russian Prime Mniister Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC and Russian Railways JSC have signed a memorandum of joint activity in interaction on formation of tariffs for cargo transportation and an Agreement in terminal handling of cargo, Kazinform refers to the press service of KTZ. In the conditions of financial-economic crisis the parties confirmed interest in lowering the rates of Tariff policy of the CIS countiesТ railways for international cargo transportation for 2009 up to 2008 basic rates of export-import and transit goods. This will allow to stop the negative tendency and preserve the volume of transportation of external trade goods in Kazakhstan at the 2008 level. In accordance with the Agreement on terminal handling of cargo the parties announced an intention to assist in acquisition of 100 per cent stake at Kedentransservice JSC, daughter company of KTZ by other daughter company of Kaztransservice NC and TransContainer JSC – the daughter company of Russian Railways JSC - on parity terms. The shares of the company will be equally distributed among the new owners. The documents also provide for other aspects of interaction in tariffs formation and terminal handligh of cargo.
