Kazakh chemical industry to assist agro-industrial complex
ASTANA. May 25. KAZINFORM /Aidos Togyzbayev/ Production of qualitative mineral fertilizers for the agricultural sector in sufficiency in Kazakhstan will be one of the results of forced development of the country’s chemical industry that was qualified by the President as one of priority directions of forced industrialization of the economy alongside with other sectors.Totally 18 projects to the amount of KZT 1 160.4 bln are planned to realize in the chemical industry. This will create 5 156 jobs. Total amount of investments to the sector from 2009 by 2015 will be up to USD 9 bln. In order to provide operative and rational development of the chemical industry the Kazakh Government approved the Action Plan of development of the chemical industry in Kazakhstan for 2009-2015 that includes information about necessary measures of the sector’s development.
Nine projects of six companies-applicants – “Kazfosfat” LTD, “KazAzot” LTD, “Kaustik” LTD, “Kazakhstan Mineral Resources” Mining Company” LTD and “EuroHim” LTD – are ready for implementation.
Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov charged Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov and Kazakh Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev to speed up the work on development of the Production Capacities Allocation Map.
