5-year forced industrialization plan to be drafted by August 1

ASTANA. June 2. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ “A draft 5-year plan of intense industrial-innovative development of Kazakhstan will be outlined by August 1, 2009”, Kazakh Industry and Trade Minister Asset Issekeshev said at the sitting of the Government today.As is known, January 1, 2010 Kazakhstan will launch the forced industrial-innovative development program within the 2010 Development Strategy. According to Mr. Issekeshev, the plan will include an economic development model with different scenarios, indices and financial expenditures for 5 years as well as measures of promotion of business initiatives. “The main purpose is concentration and optimization of public resources for qualitative change of economy and export structure”, the Minister said. Minister Issekeshev urged all economic state agencies to optimize state programs in order to focus on specific tasks. The State Committee of Economy Modernization will consider the projects. Its working body will be a coordination council (inter-department commission) supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It will consist of the representatives of Samruk-Kazyna Fund, several ministries, business entities and experts.
