ASTANA-AKORDA. June 4. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev has received Chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Grigory Marchenko; Kazinform refers to the President’s press service. Grigory Marchenko reported to the President on the macroeconomic situation in the country. He informed of the work being carried out by the National Bank on control over inflation processes and the exchange rate policy. For the last 12 months, inflation was down to 8.5 percent; the indicator is 2.5 times lower than the last year marks. Altogether, the trends continue to remain positive, Grigory Marchenko stressed. The head of state underlined that decision on tenge devaluation was correct and timely. “The President urged to pay close attention to the way of mobilization of the population's funds, to the new industrialization program funding and to restore trust in the banking sector,” the Head of the National Bank said.
