Minister of Finances meets Lord Mayor of London's City Alderman Ian Luder
ASTANA. July 27. KAZINFORM Accelerated development of the country's agro-industrial complex is both an anti-crisis measure and strategic task. Minister of Finances Bolat Zhamishev has expressed such opinion at a meeting with a delegation of the City of London headed by Lord Mayor Alderman Ian Luder.
According to the Ministry's press service the parties focused on the situation on the global financial markets, course of realization of Kazakhstan's and Great Britain's anti-recessionary programs as well as overcoming the problems arising during stabilization of economy.
In turn, I. Luder expressed confidence that foreign investors, undoubtedly, would like to participate in well-developed projects in agro-industrial complex of Kazakhstan.
The Lord Mayor of the City of London expressed interest in Kazakh Minister's viewpoint regarding the forecasts of the country's economic stabilization. The Minister touched upon estimation of the economic situation countrywide and named the measures taken by the Cabinet in implementation of the anti-crisis program.
B. Zhamishev noted support of small and medium businesses. "Financing, allocation of funds is not the only way of the state's support to small and medium businesses. We have announced a moratorium for inspection of small and medium enterprises by the state bodies for one and a half years. The number of licensing documents has been significantly reduced too", the Minister stressed.
