President satisfied with country's socio economic development in Jan-June 2009
ASTANA. July 28. KAZINFORM /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed satisfaction with positive trends in the country's socio-economic development and charged the Government to continue work on anti-crisis measures' implementation.
"In general we could keep our economy, macroeconomic indices under control, in spite of the difficulties", the President said at the Governmental sitting today.
According to N. Nazarbayev, in the 1st q 2009 the percentage of the manufactured products rose by 3%, including in ore-mining sector - by 5% and in processing sphere - by 9%. Approximately 3 mln sq m were put into commission in the first half of the year. This year Kazakhstan expects good grain harvest.
"Growth in rural areas in the first half of 2009 made 2.7%. Investments in agriculture increase and inflation slows down. In whole, all of this shows positive trends in Kazakhstan's development, However, we should not relax and be ready for any vicissitudes of crisis", N. Nazarbayev said addressing the Government members.
Alongside, the President stressed necessity of ensuring strict control over utilization of the National Fund's means.
