Intel to establish Supercomputing Technologies Center in Kazakhstan
ALMATY. July 28. KAZINFORM /Serik Koibagarov/ Today the Fund of the First President of Kazakhstan and the biggest producer of microprocessors - Intel Company - have signed Memo of cooperation in establishment of a Center for Supercomputing Technologies under the Fund and development of high-performance parallel computing in Kazakhstan.
According to Director of the New Policy Institute under the First President's Fund Oleg Rakhmatullin, the main tasks of the Center will be development of the high-performance computing in the country in the interest of science, high education and industry on the basis of Intel multinuclear microprocessors and parallel software, etc.
"As thw world practice shows, the high-performance computers turn into a center for integration of science, education, technological productions and a powerful promoter of the development of regional sectors of the economy", O.Rakhmatullin said.
