Trade volume between St Petersburg, Kazakhstan increased much in 2006
ST PETERSBURG. April 3. KAZINFORM /Yelena Myagkova/ - Previous year the volume of trade between Saint Petersburg and Kazakhstan showed a growth of 16 per cent and made up USD 232.8 million. This increase was mainly achieved due to the export of goods produced in Saint Petersburg to Kazakhstan.
According to the administration of Saint Petersburg city, volume of export to Kazakhstan amounted to USD 215.3 mln in 2006. Types of exported production include 15% of machinery products, 12% of food products, 9% of tobacco products and electric equipment, 5% of transport means and etc.
Import volume reached USD 17.5 mln that is by 5.6 times more than in 2005.
Kazakhstan’s investments to the economy of Saint Petersburg for the period from January till September 2006 made up USD 154.9 mln.
