KAZINFORM. /Sergey Kuznetsov/ Prospects of construction of a glass factory in Petropavlovsk were discussed yesterday at the meeting of Akim of North Kazakhstan region Serik Bilyalov with the representatives of the Iranian company "Kaveh Glass Industry Group". The Akim noted that in accordance with the state program of forced industrial-innovative development there were defined seven priority directions. One of these directions is the development of construction industry, which is very important for North Kazakhstan region. The region possesses all necessary raw materials and capacities. Kaveh Glass Industry Group cooperates with Kazakhstan since 2006. Then it supplied the country with glassware to the amount of USD 50 million. At present "Tasstone" Company plans to build a glassworks in Petropavlovsk. The projected cost is USD 150 million. The project will be included into "30 Corporate Leaders" state program.
