25% of harvest gathered to date - Kazakhstan Agriculture Minister

ASTANA. September 7. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ 4.9 million tons or 25% of crop have been harvested to date which is 1 centner per hectare more than in 2008, according to Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev. At the Kazakhstan Government sitting today the Minister informed that North Kazakhstan region has fuel and equipment ready for the harvesting, but is waiting for favorable weather. Kostanay region has already harvested 34% of crop, North Kazakhstan region - 11%, Akmola region - 12%. The weather forecast promise good weather to speed up the pace of harvesting some of these days. The Minister reminded of his Saturday working trip to North Kazakhstan region when he found out the problem with deficit of gasoline Ai-80. At today's sitting he asked the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources to force adoption of a resolution banning export of all types of fuel. "These measures can regulate the internal market of fuel and lubricants", A. Kurishbayev added.
