KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Foreign investments should become a source for economic growth in the nearest future, Chairman of the Innovation Committee of Nur Otan People's Democratic Party Kanat Tulemetov considers. He made it public while reporting on the Concept of the Program of industrial-innovative development at the sitting of the Bureau of the Party's Political Council in Astana today. "The Program aims at ensuring sustainable growth and competitiveness of the economy through introducing changes in three directions. The first direction is modernization and diversification of the basic sectors of economy. The second one is creation of a base for the economy of future. And the last one is development of the sectors with high-employment rate. According tom him, Kazakhstan faces several urgent problems despite its success in economy. Thus, our country is behind in labor productivity. The level of small and medium businesses development is still low. According to Tulemetov, limited budget and private investors funds will become the major barrier for implementation of innovative programs. Therefore direct foreign investments should remain the main source of economic growth in the nearest outlook, he said.
