Creating cargo trade center in the Port of Tallinn suggested to Kazakhstan
ASTANA. September 8. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ At the Kazakh-Estonian Business Forum in Astana the management of the Port of Tallinn suggests our businessmen creating a Kazakhstan Cargo Trade Center in their port.
CEO of the Port of Tallinn Ain Kaljurand noted that his port had good experience of work with Kazakhstan's cargo. He also said that a free customs zone in the port enabled to warehouse cargo free of tax. Mr. Kaljurand emphasized that the issue was discussed with the Kazakh side.
According to him, the Port of Tallinn handles 22-23 million tons of oil products per year while the capacity is 40 million tons, 2-3 million of coal (capacity is 4-5 million tons) and 5 million tons of grain.
