Turkey, Kazakhstan to cooperate in power sphere: Turkish FM
ASTANA. April 8. KAZINFORM - As reported earlier, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Marat Tazhin completed his official visit to Turkey on Friday. Kazinform agency distributes the text of the article published in The New Anatolian Newspaper regarding the visit.

Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkey Abdullah Gul declared that his country and Kazakhstan had large opportunities of mutual cooperation in the power sphere. Both sides agreed to interact in this particular field.
During Mr. Tazhin’s visit to Ankara his Turkish counterpart also stressed that Turkey attached great importance to the development of the bilateral relations with Kazakhstan. The successful collaboration between the states resulted in the investment inflow to Kazakhstan.
’Kazakhstan has become the rising star of Asia’, Mr. Gul said.
Underlining the possibilities of the commercial and economic cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan, Foreign Affairs Minister Gul noted that the commodity turnover between the countries exceeded USD 1.5 million. The Turkish businessmen launched a number of significant projects in Kazakhstan. In their turn, the Kazakh business circles started forwarding investments into the banking and tourist sectors of Turkey.
The Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkey pointed out that war on terror was one of the most important directions of the interaction between the states as well.
’We will continue supporting Kazakhstan in the international arena. We back its candidacy for the OSCE chairmanship in 2009’, he added.
In his turn, Mr. Tazhin emphasized that Turkey was one of the most significant partners of Kazakhstan in the Middle East and Asia on the whole.
