WASHINGTON. September 24. KAZINFORM Kazakh Finance Minister Bolat Zhamishev reported on "Investment opportunities of Kazakhstan and the antirecessionary program of the Government" before the leadership of large American financial and investment companies in New York on Monday, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Embassy in the USA. B.Zhamishev informed on main directions of the antirecessionary program, the activity of the Kazakh Government on the further improvement of the investment climate in the country, support of the small and medium business and topical aspects of the Kazakh economy as a whole. The situation in the banking, construction, agro-industrial sectors of Kazakhstan was traversed as well. Within the state policy on diversification of the economy the Kazakh Minister appealed American companies for realization of joint industrial, infrastructural and innovative projects, laying emphasis on the allocation of necessary privileges for the participants of such projects by the Kazakh Government. The American businessmen complimented the progress in the economic diversification of Kazakhstan, giving new opportunities for foreign investors. The representatives of the financial community were interested in the second Investment Forum of Kazakhstan in New York that is scheduled to be held on November 23-24, 2009. Participation of a Kazakh delegation consisting of representatives of the Government and business community of the country is expected.
