Capacity of Caspian system at first stage to be up to 27 mln tons of oil per year: S.Mynbayev
ASTANA. September 24. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "The capacity of the Caspian system at the first stage will be up to 27 mln tons of oil per year", Kazakh Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev has said today at the Eurasian Energy Forum held within the Kazakhstan Energy Week.
"We are working upon Kazakh-Caspian system of oil transportation facing "Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan" pipeline. This potential rout consists of two parts: "Yeskene-Kuryk" pipeline connecting Kashagan, Tengiz minefields and Kuryk harbor and Caspian system from Kuryk to "Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan". But other routs from Baku are possible as well. These are tanker transportations.
We believe that the capacity of the system at the first stage will be up to 27 mln tons of oil per year", S.Mynbayev said.
