Tenge devaluation caused necessity of more active intervention in banking system - M. Baitokov
BISHKEK. September 235. KAZINFORM /Vladimir Dobrovolsky/ First Vice President of the Association of the Kazakhstan Banks Marat Baitokov took part in Bishkek International Banking Conference (BIBC) held in a format of Central Asian dialogue. Making a report the head of the Kazakh association informed the forum participants of Kazakhstan's experience in banking crisis overcoming.
In particular, M. Baitokov noted that for solution of the problem Kazakhstan had used its state reserves and had introduced a number of normative-regulatory acts obliging the banks to save a part of their funds on the correspond accounts of the National Bank of Kazakhstan. As the banker highlighted, devaluation of the national currency caused necessity of more active intervention of the state in the banking system.
