First tranche (USD 1.5 bln) lent by Chinese Government to arrive in Kazakhstan in nearest future
BEIJING. September 28. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ The credit line amounting to USD 10 bln, which was lent by the Chinese Government to Kazakhstan, has come into operation and the first tranche amounting to USD 1.5 bln will arrive in Kazakhstan in the nearest future. Chairman of the Board of the SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund JSC Kairat Kelimbetov has announced it within the framework of his working visit to China on September 24-25.
Governor of the China Development Bank Chen Yuan emphasized that cooperation between the Bank and the Fund has a tendency of sustained strengthening.
"Within the framework of the visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in April, 2009 there was given a new impulse to bilateral relations, which took form of the framework agreement on financing credit line amounting to USD 3 bln. The framework agreement acquired a finished appearance as the general agreement and opening of the first tranche amounting to USD 300 mln within the framework of the credit agreement", Chen Yuan noted.
K.Kelimbetov, in his turn, expressed gratitude the management of the China Development Bank on the behalf of the Kazakh Government and National Welfare Fund for rendering assistance and cooperation in the investment sphere.
