ASTANA. September 29. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ "The measures on increase of Kazakhstani content in the country's business activity will give additional impulse to development of competitive domestic goods and services", Vice Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov said to journalists after the Government's sitting. "Today according to the President's commission we have considered a number of very important documents. A concept and a draft law on development of the Kazakh content were approved. Main aims of these documents are stimulation of production of goods and services, competitive products and creation of conditions for domestic manufacturers allowing to transit to import substitution", he noted. "Before considering these documents we took several measures", S. Akhmetov said. By the Program of Kazakh Content, the Ministry of Finance is responsible for state purchases; the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is in charge with dealing with subsurface users; the Ministry of Industry and Trade deals with strategic enterprises. A new certificate "CT-KZ" granting different preferences to domestic producers was introduced.
