October 1. KAZINFORM /Daniyar Sikhimbayev/ IV International Conference of the Eurasian Development Bank on the problems of Eurasian integration has kicked off in Almaty today. Representatives of the public administration bodies, scientists and experts of the EurAsEC member countries and the CIS are participating in it. The agenda of the sitting includes discussion of further interaction of the states on the Eurasian continent in the conditions of the financial-economic crisis. The participants will focus on development of the recommendations regarding priority directions of further cooperation, in particular, in innovation sphere and investment activity. The EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund is to play an important role in overcoming the global crisis. The EDB is expected to be an administrator of the Fund. According to Finogenov, head of the EDB, general directions of the Anti-Crisis activity have been determined to date. "These are primarily sovereign loans, stabilization programs, large-scale investment programs which can be financed by the EurAsEC fund. I hope, we will submit certain plans and directions of the Fund's activity within 2-3 months", he said.
