Kazakhstan can increase vegetable manures' export to Brazil - I. Ramalho
ASTANA. October 2. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Kazakhstan can increase export of vegetable manures to Brazil, Ivan Ramalho, Vice Minister of Industry of Brazil has announced at a press conference in Astana Friday.
"We are confident that our countries possess huge potential for expanding both export from Brazil to Kazakhstan and import from Kazakhstan to our country. Foreign trade between our countries is not big enough at present, but, undoubtedly, our economies will develop more rapidly in the nearest years", I. Ramilho says.
According to him, Kazakhstan imports beef from Brazil and exports vegetable manures.
"Brazil is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural products in the world, but it depends on import of vegetable manures. Therefore, we consider that Kazakhstan can raise export of fertilizers to Brazil while in turn we can increase the volumes of beef sale in Kazakhstan", the Ramalho noted.
Last year the trade turnover between the countries made USD 274.47 mln, including USD 26, 571 mln of export and USD 247, 907 mln of import from Brazil. Kazakhstan imports primarily food and agricultural products, base metals, machines and equipment and exports goods of chemical industry and base metals.
