ASTANA. October 5. KAZINFORM Agricultural conference "Kazakhstan: opportunities of agrarian and food sectors" organized by the Holland Council on development of trade with the support of the Kazakh Embassy in the Netherlands was held in Hague, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry. The main purpose of the conference is to present economic potential and investment opportunities of Kazakhstan in the field of agriculture and activate of the trade-economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the Netherlands. Representatives of the interested Ministries of the Netherlands, heads of over 100 Holland companies representing the agricultural, transport, banking sectors, engineering and construction industry took part in the conference. Kazakh delegation was headed by Rector of the Kazakh National Agrarian University Tlektes Yespolov. The participants of the conference paid special attention to the issues connected with top directions of the agricultural complex, provision of the food security and diversification of the export of the agricultural products. The representatives of the leading Netherlands bank "ING" highly appraised the economic situation in our country. They also noted the importance of the state support of the agro-industrial complex, making mention of the Kazakh Law "On grain" that meets all international standards and new Tax Code of Kazakhstan creating favorable conditions for the business development. Upon the results of the conference the participants noted that despite the Netherlands is one of the main investors to the Kazakh economy, there exists a potential for extension of the investments and trade turnover between the countries. Besides, they stressed that Kazakhstan has all opportunities to become one of the leading agricultural countries.
