French Bank lends EUR 200 mln loan to KDB
ASTANA. October 6. KAZINFORM /Arnur Rakhymbekov/ Kazakh-French business forum which gathered representatives of both countries business circles has kicked off in Astana today.
In the course of the forum the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC and BNP Paribas have entered into a loan agreement to the amount of EUR 10.2 mln.
This is the first loan extended within the credit line of the French Bank opened earlier. Its total amount is EUR 200 mln. The attracted funds will be directed to financing supply of Finnish equipment within the investment project on construction of a gas-turbine electric power station at Akshabulak deposit under the coverage of Finnvera export credit agency (ECA).
It is worthy to note that this is the first deal of the Kazakhstan Development Bank with the participation of foreign ECAs since beginning of restructuring Alliance and BTA Banks.
The signing of the agreement sets the best pattern of growing trust of European creditors to the DBK.
