KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ As earlier reported, Kazakh-French business forum is being held in Radisson SAS hotel within the official visit of French Leader Nicolas Sarkozy to Astana in the course of which a number of commercial agreements have been signed. In particular, Mayor of Astana Imangali Tasmagambetov and President of Alstom Company Patrick Kron inked a memorandum of mutual understanding in drafting and financing the projects "New public transport system of Astana". Vice Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Ratmir Konratov, Chairman of Kazakhstan Engineering Murat Mukhamediyarov and President of Thales Group Corporation Luc Vigneron entered into agreement on intentions on development of new communication technologies and automated control of armed forces at Thales Kazakhstan Engineering joint enterprise. Besides, a memorandum of mutual understanding among SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund and EADS and Eurocopter companies was signed. Kazakhstan Temir Zholy NC JSC and Alstom Transport S.A. signed an agreement on realization of a pilot project on electric switch mechanisms testing. Development Bank of Kazakhstan and BNP Paribas signed # 001 individual loan agreement within the Frame Agreement as of Sep 23, 2009. 12 commercial agreements and other documents were signed within the forum in total.
