ASTANA. October 6. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ Kazakhstan allows the French military transit through its territory. "Following the talks there was signed the agreement on transit of French military personnel and equipment through the territory of Kazakhstan due to the participation of the French Armed Forces in ensuring stability and rehabilitation of Afghanistan", Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a press conference after the meeting with his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy. Kazakhstan also backed the initiative of France to convene a special conference on Afghanistan.
