Over 30 enterprises with French capital opened in Kazakhstan since 2008 - Minister Issekeshev

KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ Since the previous meeting of the heads of Kazakhstan and France in June 2008 the number of registered enterprises with participation of French capital in our country increased from 71 to 103. Kazakh Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev has said it at the Kazakh-French Business Forum in Astana today.
"Over a year the direct French investments to Kazakhstan have amounted to USD 1 billion. The major part of projects, the presidents of the two states agreed on during their last meeting, is actively realized", he noted. Among them is the construction of two plants (titanium and cement). The projects cost is USD 75 million and USD 230 million respectively. These enterprises will be put into operation next year.
According to the Minister, 10 agreements and memorandums with the total budget of USD 3 billion were signed at the business forum on Tuesday.
