ALMATY. October 8. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ The Netherlands will render financial support to a project on introducing energy efficiency indicators in Kazakhstan. Kazakh Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev and Netherlands Minister of Economic Affairs Maria van der Hoeven signed a Letter on plans between the two departments. This agreement foresees rendering financial support to the project of the International Energy Agency (IEA) by the Netherlands. The project is directed to development, introduction and using of energy efficiency indicators in Kazakhstan. "Despite that this issue is a priority direction for the Kazakh Government, there is shortage of corresponding statistic information. This shortage will be compensated owing to the project supported by the Netherlands", Maria van der Hoeven said. The same day a Memorandum of mutual understanding and cooperation in the sphere of investments and trade was signed between Maria van der Hoeven and Kazakh Minister of Industry and Trade Asset Issekeshev. Its is aimed at development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade and investments sphere between the two countries.
