ASTANA. October 12. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ SamrukKazyna National Welfare Fund intends to complete intervention into the capital of the Alliance Bank by the end of 2009, Chairman of the Fund Kairat Kelimbetov announced today. "Being the operator of the Government's anti-crisis program SamrukKazyna was allocated KZT 1 trln 87.5 bln from the National Fund. Over 80% of these funds have been utilized, i.e. KZT 875 bln have been used for the purpose intended, Kelimbetov said. "As a result we have acquired 75% of the shares of BTA Bank, 21.2% - in Kazkommertsbank and 20.9% - in Halyk Bank. By the end of the year we will finish acquiring shares in Alliance Bank, he added. As earlier reported, SamrukKazyna Fund intends to purchase controlling interest of the Bank and finish its capitalization to the amount of KZT 129 bln.
