Kazakhstan, China to implement joint projects of wind and solar power production
BEIJING. October 14. KAZINFORM. /Ruslan Suleimenov/ Signing of the agreement on interaction and cooperation between Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group (CGNPG) took place within the framework of the SCO Prime Ministers' Summit in Beijing.
The sides expressed intention to become strategic partners in the sphere of production of clean and renewable energy and start joint use and development of wind, solar and water resources of Kazakhstan.
Samruk-Kazyna and the CGNPG will consider an opportunity to form joint ventures for implementation of projects on production of wind and solar power in Kazakhstan as well as construction of hydro power plants.
As is known, CGNPG is the only large energy corporation in China dealing with development of nuclear power industry and production of clean energy.
